The Different Folk is now closed.

Six years ago we started with a simple idea: artists come first. Not sometimes. Not when it’s convenient. Always.

Everything we did came from that. Every decision, every collaboration, every piece of work.

We built something around the people who make the work, not the people who sell it. A loose, global collective of individuals who didn’t fit neatly anywhere else, and were never meant to.

Difference wasn’t a problem to solve. It was the point. And the work only worked because we trusted the people making it. Completely. No interference. No bullshit.

To the artists: this was yours. It always was. Every project we’re proud of has your mark all over it. You made it matter.

To the clients who got it, who backed instinct over caution, who chose something real over something safe, thank you.

The Different Folk was never ours to keep. It belongs to the artists, and they’re still out there. Find them. Work with them. Pay them properly.
