Jess Bianchi conjures worlds that hover in ethereal twilight.

Summoned from her Buenos Aires studio, these are realms where women discover ancient powers and everyday scenes shimmer with potential. For years, Jess ran a print shop, a period spent away from her art. Then, a workshop reignited her creative calling. It was there she discovered animation, falling in love with its potential as a portal to “create my own stories and worlds.” Bianchi weaves the storytelling of Shōjo manga with the 20th-century folklore of Ivan Bilibin.

These foundational influences are layered with the spirit of low-budget sci-fi, fairytales, and vintage photographs of Buenos Aires street life. The result? Meditative vignettes that teem with subtle dark edges. A demigod version of Nike’s Naomi Osaka, a figure for Dior captured mid-plummet – heroines are enshrined in airy, otherworldly compositions. Jess Bianchi animates the spellbinding epic hiding just beneath the surface.

“My process involves a lot of meditation. I like to embed a soothing, magical tranquility in every scene.”

Jess turned women’s football into an animated love letter with Nike.

"My way" was recently screened at Annecy and Pictoplasma, awarded Best Animation at BAMV and Best Music Video at Anifilm.

“I want to transport my viewers. To let them be carried away…”
